BODY MEETS THE MIND RETREAT
Helen Bashford Yoga and I are very excited to be running our bespoke Body Meets The Mind day retreat.
This isn’t a regular yoga or pilates retreat, it’s a retreat very much focused on the health and well being of the body and the mind, and how these two interact continuously. The body and mind are two sides of the same coin and whatever affects one will affect the other.
During this retreat we will address them both.
Almost everything about health starts with the breath, so we will teach the anatomy of breathing and how to breathe better for improved physical strength & performance, as well as how to use the breath to soothe anxiety, tension and stress.
The rest of the day will include:
•2 yoga practices (one flow/one restorative)
•A workshop on movement patterns and
muscle imbalances & how to correct
•Education on the impact scars, tattoos, and piercings have on the body (including scar tissue release techniques)
•Yoga and mindful techniques to improve mental health
•Meditation & yoga nidra
The venue is absolutely beautiful, set out in the countryside and surrounded by fields. The day will include a home made nutritious vegetarian lunch and a tea break with homemade vegan cakes and fruit teas.
